Ever wondered how cities measure their population?
Imagine you're planning a new park in a city. You want to know how many people live nearby to ensure there's enough interest and visitors.
To figure out the number of people living around your proposed park, you'd look at the total population within the city's boundaries, including all its neighborhoods and surrounding areas.
Example
If the city has a population of 500,000 people, that's the number you'd consider for your park's potential audience.
Remember this
The total population within a city's boundaries is the measure you're looking for.
