Imagine you're at a carnival, and you want to know if winning a prize at the ring toss is just luck or if there's a skill to it. You watch many people try and see how often they win.
You're trying to figure out if winning is due to skill or just chance. The 'p-value' helps you measure how likely it is that winning is just random luck.

After watching 100 people, 15 win. You want to know if this win rate is unusually high or if it's something you could expect by chance.
