Panopticon (album)
Panopticon album title inspired by Bentham's panopticon prison ideal and Foucault's allegorical use
The album's critical reception and comparison to previous works show that Panopticon was seen as a progression in ISIS' musical evolution. This progression mirrors Foucault's idea that societies evolve and change, particularly in how they implement and respond to surveillance.
Remember this
Understanding the panopticon concept helps appreciate the album's exploration of surveillance's impact on society and individual behavior.
